INVITATION

     The 16th International Corrosion Congress will be held from September 19 to 24, 2005 in Beijing, China. As the local sponsor and organizer, the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection is expecting to welcome our friends from all over the world to come to Beijing for this event in 2005, and we will do our best to make this congress a great success.

    The 16^th International Corrosion Congress in China will offer an excellent opportunity for scientists in the corrosion community from all over the world to convene together, to discuss their common interests, to share their different experiences, and to exchange their ideas, new thoughts, and their recent innovations in corrosion fields, and meanwhile to see the rapidly changing China.

    We believe that through the great events of this congress and its exhibition, participants from different countries of the world would surely achieve great deal in their particular professional fields and in the cooperation with one another. Furthermore, the long-standing history, beautiful landscape, culture and lifestyle as well as the great changes in China in recent years will make the participants feel a trip to present China being well worthwhile.

16^th INTERNATIONAL CORROSION CONGRESS

    The International Corrosion Congress is the major event of the International Corrosion Council (ICC), an international body composed of representatives from more than 70 countries.  China welcomes all to Beijing for the celebration of the 16^th anniversary of this International Corrosion Congress.

TECHNICAL PROGRAMME

    The technical sessions of the congress will include invited lectures, keynote speeches, and oral and poster presentations.  All sessions will be focused on the theme of "Corrosion and Protection in  High Technology Era".  The whole event will be five days including one day for city tour (to the Great Wall) organized by the congress.
